In Boyce de Lance, Northern Haiti, we partnered with Open Door Haiti to launch an English language (ESL) program.  In a community where opportunity was virtually non-existent dozens of people were trained for dignified employment in the nearby city of Cap Haitian.

In rural Nicaragua, we partnered with a school administered by Fe y Alegria.  Two classrooms were equipped with computers and software for an afterschool English ESL and intensive math program, open to high school students and adults from one of the country’s poorest communities. Teachers reported that the project boosted graduation rates, and increasing employability of residents.

On the northern coast of the Dominican Republic, we are supporting the DREAM Project in their preschool and at-risk youth program. Montessori classes prepare children in some of the area’s poorest communities, while older students who are more than two grade levels behind in their studies are given intensive remedial tutoring and cultural enrichment as well as
vocational and technical training programs in these communities.

In the Washington Heights section of Manhattan, New York we partnered with Culturarte Domincana, a Dominican Cultural Center, by providing them with 15 modern computers equipped with English language (ESL) software, for an afterschool tutoring and mentoring project.

We Can't Have That' adopted the town of Leogane, Haiti, providing essential earthquake relief.
Leogane, 22 miles west of Port-au-Prince, was at the epicenter and “the area worst hit by the devastating earthquake”, according the United Nations. Of its 100,000 people, tens of thousands died, nearly every building was destroyed forcing tens of thousands to live in the open. Water was undrinkable and very little aidwas reaching the people of Leogane. With the aid of donations raised from an Adopt Leogane Campaign and our partners on the ground in Haiti, Leogane’s water supply was restored. Our partners on the ground in Leogane were the Bel’O Water Company and Service Oequimenique D’Entrante, an NGO operating for 32 years in Haiti, funded in the past by UNICEF and other international humanitarian groups.
